What is Yombu?

Yombu allows you to pay for everyday items with nothing but your fingerprint — no card or phone required.

Why is Yombu so amazing?

Yombu is convenient, fast, and secure. With Yombu, you can literally pay naked. Leave your cash, cards, and phone at home. No more fumbling with your wallet at point of sale. Paying with your fingerprint ensures enhanced fraud protection, and you can never lose it!

How do I sign up?

You can initiate sign-up in-store or online at If you begin by setting up your account online, you will still need to go to the store to complete the sign-up process and register your fingerprint. Fingerprint registration only takes 30 seconds – you simply swipe your debit/credit card at the Yombu terminal, scan your fingerprint, and choose a 4-digit Yombu PIN. That’s it!

How do I pay?

Payment is a breeze. Scan your fingerprint. Enter your PIN number. Paid!

Is it secure?

Yes. Yombu does not store the image of your fingerprint in its database. Rather, we store an alphanumeric representation of your fingerprint via one-way encryption. It is impossible for anyone (including us) to re-create the actual image of your fingerprint with this data.

Yombu also does not store your debit and/or credit card information. Rather, Yombu has teamed with Worldpay for the secure storage of your payment data: Worldpay is a large payment processor with more than 165,000 merchants in the U.S.

Is it free?

Yes. Customers will never pay anything to use Yombu.
